I would have loved if they annouced a lie-flat single aisle product similar to Singapore Airlines 737-MAX, even if it was just on select services - short haul and transcontinental. I know it's highly unlikely, but one can dream.

I haven't seen any great attention given to it. Just one silly bit in The Australian.
Haven't seen anything on TV and I watch enough mainstream TV (perhaps too much), not really that interesting to report on.
 
So it is, and the app icon is also, the same as their jackets now :)

edit: The new logo has just been updated on their website now also.

In the early days, male steward was doing the safety demo on a 6.30pm MEL SYD. I and maybe one or two others had their heads up - the other 95% were not even pretending.

The steward got to the part about 'if in the water, to attract attention then blow the whistle', and with a massive intake of breath let it rip through the whistle. Those whistles will get you located.

Just like watching chickens in a farm yard - all heads snapped up (I suspect some chiroprators & physios got extra business) and not one head that I could see went down again until after the steward finished with a grin from ear to ear.

Another flight, few months later, the steward at the point about 'if the command brace brace brace then tuck your head down... and kiss your cough good bye'.

All this long before Air NZ started with their safety videos.

Exactly, new logo/livery and official announcement of new bus class seats. The only thing that's "instagrammable". Given the number of cancelled flights and staff shortages, it wouldn't have locked great having a plane sitting in a hanger for a media event/announcement.

Even moreso if they had staff parading at the event instead of manning planes after repeatedly complaining about cabin crew shortages.

So what are betting on for the new livery, inverted virgin blue livery? (White body red tail)

I would expect to see a red tail.

Traditionally, all Virgin airline brands are supposed to have a red tail for their livery anyway. The current Virgin Australia livery is an exception and IIRC Richard himself had to approve it.

Makes it very similar to QF livery though, that's a problem. I think that's why Virgin Blue was different to start with.
