Vinomofo Wine Deals

Apologies if covered already, but any info on this one? Listed as $320 reduced to $49.
Likely

They have had the 2017 and 2018 vintages of this previously at the same price, I don't have any record of the 2016 previously.
My bad, I didn't pay attention to the vintage. Do you think it's worth it or another inflated RRP?

I've never tried any of these, the claimed RRP is in the "tell 'em they're dreamin'" or "I want some of what they are smoking" category. I might miss out on some good wines, but I buy very little under "natural" cork and almost none from those who use this sort of marketing ploy.

lol, agree in terms of pricing. You'd get truly exceptional wines like Cloudburst or Cullen or other for that money.

You'll find it listed here as Archery Road Longbow shiraz:

What is the normal RRP for this - I see approx $23 here:
The vinino.com.au website does not list RRP, rather it uses user reported data which is largely inaccurate.

Vinomofo have had various vintage of this wine available and the prices ranged approximately between $22 and $25 a bottle.

There is also no need to 'post pad'. You have the ability to edit your original message for up to 24 hours. Although as an AFF member for 7 years I assumed that you knew this already.
Thanks for the pointers.

I would add that at that price, it is a pretty decent deal !

[Mod Hat]. A reminder folks that there is also no need to 'post pad' and that posts that are too close together will get automerged.

I generally ignore RRP for unknown wines these days. This one has 96pts from Sam Kim (ie 6/10) and 90pts on CellarTracker. The VM description seems to match word for word one of the "private" reviews from the total of three I found online, but the other comments say it's not worth $80.

If you get some and try it, I'd be interested in your thoughts!

I had one of the Longbow recently from a mixed case. Kept the empty bottle to remind me to look out for it and just ordered another 6. Very good drinking for under $20 (or around $16 after discount).

My comments was after tasting it. I also don’t call a ‘good deal’ based on an inflated rrp.
It is a pretty nice mature Cab Sav at $22.

Had a bottle of the 2014 last night - guests enjoyed it, and were surprised when I told them the price. Tossing up whether to go in for a case of the 2015 or stick with the '14.
