Vinomofo Wine Deals

What do people expect?

They allow the fair share of abuse of codes, personally I wouldn't be having too much of a cry about it myself.

I would simply return the wine, no big deal.
But why miss a chance to publicise the drama and spread the self-pity around?!? The very same people post Facebook and google complaints instead of giving the local business a chance to rectify.

Self pity? Not really an issue for anyone here or on my Forum, we all knew it was likely a mistake and decided to proceed anyway, not complaining about the result, just waiting to see how Vivino handles it (slowly and poorly so far in my case), we know how Vinomofo works and they seem to be able to deliver the mistakenly advertised wine in this case. If not I'll probably keep it, it's a decent wine for the $12 I paid (I previously bought at $15) and will go into quaffer packs for friends.

I didn't buy, but am finding the high dudgeon on some 'sides' of this very entertaining!

Businesses often wear their mistakes well, other times not so well. I strongly suspect VM is big and profitable enough not to need the "don't beat up on the poor li'l business struggler guy" line. And I've mainly heard the opportunists on this forum say "easy come easy go, it was worth a shot"...

Any chance someone could confirm the following two:

Any ideas what this could be?
Not 100% but I suspect it is Marri Wood Park given it’s a biodynamic vineyard and they recently had their back vintage Chenin (which is excellent) on the Fo.
Cheers.

Has anyone bought this Brokenwood soil selection chardonnay and can provide comment? Looking for a decent white to buy on the fo if any other good recommendations. Thanks

Can't go wrong with a Hunter Semillon generally and Brokenwood in particular.
I think you will be happy with any Brokenwood white.

They may be disappointed when their Semillon tastes like a Chardonnay though!. That said, good aged Hunter Semillon tastes like a good Chardonnay anyway.

I might not have been crystal clear, but I did clarify that any Brokenwood white is quite passable. Sorry for the confusion.

Not sure I understand this. He received an incorrect wine and rightfully pointed it out to the seller. Given it is VM who are known for a good customer service - the issue was rectified. I don't get a comment of the self-pity.
