Vinomofo Wine Deals

If it is the drinking window on winefront is not promising...
FWIW, I bought 2006 Bos from VM and I thought it was drinking great, there are some TNs by other members earlier in the thread. From what I understand, Peter Douglas (Ex Wynns) builds them to last. I see 2007 Bos is still offered for sale on their website at a full freight, so I doubt they would tarnish their rep selling wine past its prime.

The winery is going through a rough patch (google Reschke vs Reschke) - hence the ongoing sale of their labels.

Nonetheless, IIRC, 2007 is not regarded as a good vintage in the coonawarra.

I enjoyed the 2006 Bos, if the 2007 is equally as good I'd boom a case too at that price. Would probably wait for a more recent TN before I pull the trigger : D

TWC have also just landed the 2009 Reschke Bos

Anyone have any ideas for the below??

I wanted to get in touch to give you exclusive early (pre-arrival) access to an incredible premium, aged Hunter Valley Semillon and Shiraz from the same producer. It's a bummer I can't include photos of these wines because they both present really beautifully in stunningly eye-catching bottles.
A fantastic opportunity to appreciate the characteristics that make Hunter Valley Semillon, so unique and special in its ability to age and evolve far beyond other white varietals in the new world. This Semillon was given a special value award from James Halliday while being sold at $100 per bottle, but you can get your hands on it for only $29.90!

It's quite rare we are able to get our hands on this calibre of hunter Semillon, so please let me know if you would like to jump on some before it sells out!

1. (Pre-arrival) Black Market Semillon 2016 Hunter Valley, NSW

97 points - Halliday Wine Companion
Special Value Award (while sold at $100/btl) - Halliday Wine Companion

This Semillon still holds plenty of acidity and freshness despite the age. Driving lemon citrus combines with mineral complexity on a textured palate. Drinking beautifully now but will continue to develop texture as well as honeyed and nutty nuance with further ageing.
Just add Oysters!

Cellaring: 10-15 years

$75/per btl down to $29.90 in 6 packs.
Expected to dispatch from our warehouse this Friday the 30th of April

2. (Pre-arrival) Black Market Shiraz 2013 Hunter Valley, NSW

95 points Halliday Wine Companion
A quintessential representation of Hunter Shiraz. Expect an elegant, medium to full bodied shiraz with concentrated cherries and plums expressed alongside impressive tannin structure. fantastic length is highlighted by savoury spice, clove and vanilla oak complexity. A Shiraz built for age, this is just now coming into its ideal drinking window.

Cellaring: 10-15 years

$150/per btl down to $49.90 in 6 packs.

Edit: Im thinking possibly Tempus Two Uno for the semillon?

89 points is a shocker for the 2007 Bos. Halliday normally dishes out 95+ points like Santa. What did Santa Halliday say for the 89? I did like the 06 Bos so sitting on the fence.
JH gave 2006 Bos 92 points. Not sure if these scores mean much. Would rather trust my own taste buds.

and he gave it a drinking window of "drink by 2018"

"eye catching bottles" - sounds like Tempus Two

I just retruned my 6 pack of the 2006 Reschke Bos, The bottle was well past it's best/declining and tasted more like port than Cabernet. May have been a bad bottle but didnt want to risk opening another so returned it.
