Vinomofo Wine Deals

Powell & Son Riverside GSM 2018 would be my reco. It is a great brand (had their shiraz that is a top notch) and I bet that GSM would be a nice drop too.
I bought this the other week with the $30 code, unfortunately 20% CB didn't track but I filed a claim.

Very good value, even better if you grab it during a sale with discounts. Price is the same as it was weeks ago currently, so maybe they'll discount further for BF.

Re Powell & Son Riverside, VM has it advertised as a GSM 2018, their pic is of a GMS 2018, it's sure to be one or the other :)

What did you get Luke ?

After almost a month of waiting for delivery, I finally received my order of the Jim Brand ‘The Pursuit’ Cab Sav.

Really impressed, and at around $14/bottle, very happy with the purchase.
It’s still young too (2018).

Anyone else cracked a bottle?
Actually yes: first sip I thought it was great, but afterwards it didn’t wow me that much. I’m not any sort of wine expert, but I expect generally a young cab sauv will have lots of tannins and then mellow as time goes on. This was definitely the case with a penley and a swings & roundabouts I got (both after a couple of years were amazing). Not sure if this will be the same and I need to give it a couple of years, or maybe it’s just a different style? The other half really enjoyed it though.

This is what I did for my two VM orders yup.
I'm annoyed at myself that I paid via PayPal for $120, but another $99 via AMEX.

Multiple orders is fine? I've never actually received an AMEX return yet.

I'm looking at another wine for $49.90 in a 6pk, but I feel like they've priced it just under $299 on purpose.

I may hold off for BF CB, I messaged my friend at Shopback to ask if there will be any...just waiting to hear.

I've opened the Reschke 2010 and enjoying.
If this is the 2010 RSR, I thought this was okay but not a patch on the 2004 from a few months ago. Given a two hour decant, but seemed a bit awkward and disjointed on first try. Came together better after another hour or so, but the 04 was singing from first sip and for me just had more poise, balance and depth.

It was the 2010 RSR. I don't have (unfortunately) a 2004 to compare it to, but as a stand alone it was thoroughly enjoyed - maybe the tannin a bit too evident but that should soften with age.

Yep, don't get me wrong, I did still enjoy it; I guess I just had high expectations after the 04. To be fair, there's plenty of stuffing there for it to age further, so I may just chuck a few in the cellar and see what happens.

I think I’m March I got a couple cases of the 06 Reschke Bos and just picked up a case of the 2010 Reschke currently on offer.

I haven’t been on here for about 6 months Is that probably the last of the Reschke fire sale? Or do these deals keep coming and going?

Yes Patriti. Fortified chardonnay is a very nice drink
Coincidences. Ten minutes ago I was the second and succesful bidder on 12 bot of patritti sparkling shiraz. $44 the case. Add the $12 freight etc and it comes to just over a fiver per bottle. Found a lonely review pre purchase by a South Oz critic which said at $24 is was well underpriced. Piqued my interest of course. Last weekend another coincidence. I was just thinking last Sunday, God knows how it entered my scone, of the Patriti muscat that i got thru the Fo about 5 years ago in a mixed case. A mixed case of God knows what. But it was a 375ml bot and i can still remember how absolutely amazing it was. Lo and behold, i found a 750ml bot, the only one in stock, in a bakery cough deli in Coburg. Can you believe it, a trendy deli in the backstreets. Havent tried it yet, can get more from them, and at only $17 a bot, i hope it brings back memories.

Which auction house was that BF? It can't have been Gray's surely, although I did buy a six pack of Step Rd Cab Sav from them the other day for $37 (plus the usual add-ons)...
