My situation:
I am flying Syd to Paris via Ho Chi Minh City on April 18th. Overnight stay at airport hotel on the 18th before Air France flight to Paris the next afternoon. Therefore I will apply for a 30-day visa for my one day in Vietnam.
My return route is a bit more complicated:
Flying CDG - SGN on Air France on May 26th, arriving 6.30am. Then booked separately on a Singapore Airlines flight to Singapore at 12.30pm same day. Baggage not checked through, as they are two separate bookings. So 6 hours between flights. Obviously, will have to go through immigration then collect bags and exit Arrivals area before lining up to check in again with Singapore Airlines. Will not be exiting the terminal.
My question: do I require another 30-day Visa to allow me to pass through immigration, collect bags and check in again, or is my Singapore airlines booking confirmation enough to not require this?
Thanks for any definitive answers!
