Victoria's new pandemic legislation

[Quickstatus]

Chairman Dan has tabled legislation amending the public health act to allow the Premier to make a Pandemic declaration - where the declaration can be extended 3 months at atime with no limit on the number of extensions. Included in the declaration is the power to limit movement, ban gatherings and shut down business and enforce quarantine.

The power is invested in the Premier who appears to be drunk on power

I still consider there to be a health emergency… there’s a worldwide pandemic.
