Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

Oh my. I just did some points upgrades on a couple of flights and every time I hit 'continue', it opened another page tab. There was about 8 tabs open by the time I'd finished.

Same ol' same ol' :-|

Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

Cut them a break guys, at least they are doing something.

Thats like getting served raw chicken at a restaurant and saying, "oh well, at least they cooked it a little bit." ;)

This is terrible, they must know how badly this reflects on the company.

Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

Earlier this morning when the Velocity site was working I happened to notice that my "missing points" claim that were submitted via emails to the RETRO address now show up. It didn't use to do this and would only show (at least for me) claims submitted online.

I just checked now and the site is broken again!

My Hawaiian Airlines emailed retro claim appeared online back in June, so I don't think this is too new - more likely it is just sporadic/unpredictable!

Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

Well I think I've found a problem!

I made a booking for myself, wife and youngest daughter, 2 sectors in flexi during the triple point promo. I just noticed my FF number is there, yet my wife and daughters are missing in action. They were definitely there when the booking was made as they're on the "remembered" list in the web booking engine and that added their FF numbers and their email addresses. Now I can't get them to stick when I use the update members details page. I can enter them but then they just disappear again when I try to complete the change.

I'll be bloody annoyed if we miss out on the triple points because of it! Looks like I'll be on the phone to the VFF GCC tonight!

So as not to take this thread OT, I've added the resolution to my post above to a new thread here.

Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

Its not working at all for me today - How bloody hard is it to implement a working website? Love the new age upmarket carrier you are virgin. Bloody awesome

Re: Velocity Website "Upgrade"

I wonder how many of us ( me included ) actually submit constructive feedback to VA via the website or facebook etc regarding these type of issues.

I often wonder, if they kept constantly receiving the feedback, would anything change ? It is one thing for the AFF users to complain but a concerted effort of feedback may result in change.

It is clear the VA rep " seems " to mostly avoid comment on the forums and so maybe sending feedback is one way things can in fact change. The website saga is ongoing but ultimately I would think we all would appreciate it being fixed.

I understand what you are saying, however as a paying customer, who pays good money for a seat on their plane, why should I be subjected to their shambles. As far as I am concerned the booking process is part of the whole experience that I pay for in my ticket price. The fact that the booking process sucks big time downgrades the whole experience. Then the onboard experience further deteriorates what they have left. In all seriousness, they were a far better airline as Virgin Blue with the PE section at the front. The website worked, you knew what to expect and it was mostly a great experience.
