Velocity introduces Forever Gold lifetime status tier

It was a no brainer for me.
The same yearly flying habits easily get me QF Platinum but was too tight to keep VA Platinum under the new rules. My story is similar, just over 9,000 of the 12,000 required but still short 3,800 in VA.
Not a likely target for me to spend 45K with VA when I jumped ship to QF and don't fly with them at all anymore.
I flew exclusively with VA and partners for 12 years sitting at Platinum all that time.
I don't know how this can be a win for them with so many people bailing.

Has anyone noticed their Forever Gold tally has significantly changed today? My tally showed around 8300 out of 12000 yesterday and as of today shows 5925 of 12,000.

I manually track my Status Credits in a spreadsheet and it should show 8338 (I did note the tally on VA website was off by around 50 credits).

Hopefully they're doing some internal changes before October 1 by removing some of the restrictions to Forever Gold, and this is just a temporary mishap!

I'm still showing 12,000/12,000 and 9,000/9,000

No change here. Still 8k SCs, and still needing 5k on VA.

I've figured it out. They've removed all of the excess non-VA credits over 3000. Guess my hope they would change it is shortlived.
Just checked and, yes, same for me. I suppose this fixes the slightly confusing way they previously stated it in the situation where someone has plenty of non VA credits but not many VA credits, which was "you have 11,500 credits, so you only need 500 more of which at least 4000 more need to be from VA flights".

Hi, I'm currently at 10,205 / 12,000 and 7,205 / 9.000 respectively. I've almost requalified for platinum again. If I switch family pooling to my wife does my VA flying still count towards the forever gold qualification? Thanks

Pretty sure the answer to that is no. If you pool credits they don’t count for anyone’s “personal travel on VA” part of the quotas. This is a change to the current system where you still earn eligible sectors while pooling.

For the life of me I can't find an answer to this question..... Back in 2020 (covid years) Virgin Velocity gifted 3 x 70 status points to me and my wife. ( I am assuming everyone got the same or similar) At the time she was pooling to me so I received her points as well. Now I know her points won't go towards my 9000 point target for FG however does anyone know if the 3 x 70 (210 points) will be considered towards that 9000 point target?

As well I believe bonus points (double and triple points) will also be included in the 9000 target for FG. Can this also be confirmed. The reason I am asking these questions are that despite my past efforts of maintaining Platinum since February 2013 Velocity are saying that I have only accumulated 3478 points (towards 9000 target). I have kept a comprehensive spreadsheet since 2013 and according to me I have actually earned 5377 towards the 9000 target. Either my spreadsheet is wrong or I have included flights (points) that should not be included. I cannot find any errors in my calculations. Any help would be appreciated. (by the way my spreadsheet calculations doesn't include Family Pooling points to me as well as partners flights and Flybuys etc....)

9000 out of the 12000 SCs needed for FG have to be your flying only. No partner airlines. No FlyBuys. No family pooling. 9000 SCs since Feb 2013 have to be your BIS flight!

When you say no Family pooling I assume you mean no family pooling that I received as a beneficiary. I have included points that I gave to my wife (and children back in the early days)
