I received a velocity statement, looking like this today:

Velocity Account Summary
January 06

Opening Balance 10,000
Velocity Points Earned 5,000
Velocity Points Redeemed 10,000
Velocity Points Available 50,000

Surprised as I was to see I had points available considering I hadnt done in Virgin Blue flying, I thought wow, must have been some bonus on joining up.

But alas my surprise was tempered when i got a follow up email hours later:

Mr

Unfortunately, we made a mistake and accidentally sent you a Velocity Rewards Statement showing an incorrect Velocity Rewards Account Summary for January 06.

Please accept our sincere apologies for the mix up and for any confusion this may have caused.

Your corrected statement will follow shortly.

Thank you for your understanding.

The Team at Velocity

What a shame, i wonder if the system would have let me cash in?? :-)

My statement was laden with zero's as well :(
Then you need to order a NAB credit card, or do something silly like take a DJ flight.

Ahh, is that how to get rid of the zeros  . But I don't need another credit card, nor a DJ flight ... so it looks like the zeros remain for a while :P .

Got 45 points courtesy of my NAB Velocity credit card (still waiting for my 15,000 points)!
