Ah, we got that off some flight crew today so was just updating! I would take your word over the FAs though :)

Cabin crew don't need to be certified to operate international flights. You will find short haul cabin crew operating DPS, HKT and CCK and possibly any other international flights operated by a 737 or EJET.

There is however a possibility of an issue with operating certificates. The current A332s are being operated under the domestic AOC which is now majority intl owned (Virgin, NZ, EY and SQ). If VA want to send the 332s internationally they may be required to put them on the International AOC (Vaustralia) depending on traffic rights.

That sounds about right like the conversation with a couple of flight crew today! The 2 new 332s are registered to operate internationally and will have in flight wifi system available...but that depends on VA if they want to put it in use. XFI was originally a kingfisher order but was offered to VA, crew can't wait to operate it as it has full crew rest facilities.

As a Melbourne domestile, my hope is for VA to offer PER-SIN or ADL-SIN. (I'd even take a 737 service)

As an aside, are any of the rumours being confused with the additional VS service from HKG to SYD or MEL?
 
I know I'm dreaming... though CNS-SIN would be nice... (for CNS, that is).

A 73H service 3x weekly would be lovely. And the other 4x days it can do ADL-SIN. QF operated CNS-SIN with 73H so there isn't a range issue.

That's true, but if you restrict capacity enough you can do almost any route with almost any aircraft. The key question would be whether it could be done economically. Of course VA seem to do OK on their other "long haul" capacity restricted 737 routes, but those are all into markets with heavy outbound demand.

VA won't operate INT services on the 332 until they get XFI AND XFJ which will be registered with an international operating certificate as the current 6 332's have only domestic operating Certs. They're also looking at flying into HND.

VA need to make the decision for the 787/350 now rather than later if they want to start growing and having more of a international presence just like VS. I love VA and want to fly exclusively with them on their metal but it's just not possible yet.

As this is still a rumour and has not been confirmed or denied by VA then ill leave it at that, by all means what I've been posting have come from the 330 crew and is what they have been briefed on, whether or not VA intend to continue their decision to fly to SIN or HND is solely up to VA and is being looked into.

VA's 2 newer 332's would likely be the ones starting their INT operations IF they decide to go ahead and fly to SIN, HND pr wherever else they see profitable as they will be registered to operate Internationally and domestically as well as featuring a downstairs crew resting area for longer flights.

SIN would provide a good opportunity (with QF giving up basically) but with SQ already offering an equal/better product I don't see the need

As dzinh has confirmed in his post after yours, all of his posts have either consisted of crew rumours or personal desires. All the quotes you have given reflect that. dzinh never stated that VA had made any specific announcements about future international routes.

Another rumour according to a lovely 332 FA today would be VA would like to start their INT prescence beginning at their partners hubs. Believe it or not is totally up to the individual. Rumours here and there can be fun, what's even better is when they start happening :)

Yes, it's hard to see what VA could offer/fill as SQ/MI already have 120 services a week in each direction between Singapore and Australia (ie 17 services a day on average). Unless VA were to replace SQ or MI on some of these services, or find new unique timings or pick new routes with reasonable demand (Where? CNS? CBR? OOL? NTL?) it's hard to see how they would make it successful.
 
Perfect for Per-Sin. I'd rather the VA 332 compared to the rust bucket QF 333

do you have facts to back up your claim!!!!!....the oldest QF333 is currently 9.8yrs old (the youngest is 7.6yrs) ...by your 'logic' most of the worlds airlines are flying 'rustbuckets'.
OMG...the first A380 entered service in 2007..thats 6yrs ago!!! rapidly reaching 'rustbucket' status!!
