I have a colleague who is flying VA BNE-SYD in the morning on a saver fare, then later in the evening back to SYD-BNE in business class.

Does this enable him to access the lounge in the morning in BNE as it's technically before his flight? He currently holds no status with VA.

Cheers

Probably not.

Class of service based lounge access is available so: (http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/en/experience/at-the-airport/lounge/#entry)

"Access to the Virgin Australia Lounge is for eligible members and guests travelling on onward domestic Virgin Australia flights".

... and: (http://www.virginaustralia.com/au/e...ul-international/lounge-terms-and-conditions/)

"a) Members may access the lounge in the relevant departure port when their next onward flight on that day is with Virgin Australia or an Eligible Partner Airline."

He's flying out tomorrow, I told him to get both boarding passes printed at the check in desk and to wave the business class ticket at the lounge angel. Lets see how it goes...

Just a quick update, the lounge angel waved him through into BNE lounge after he presented his J SYD-BNE ticket.
