Using the AAA rate when booking at Hilton.

The 3 digit code on my RACQ membership card works fine for Hilton bookings at AAA rates.

When the site changed a little while ago the NRMA code (3 digit) stopped working. I emailed HHonors and was given this code to use:

4387771234567890

Works every time.

There is no link at check in to the code number used so if challenged (twice in 12 months) I can just show the AAA badge on the back.

I tend to find them the same as the advance purchase rate but with no nasty conditions.

Code just worked for me, thanks! I don't carry my RACWA card with me so don't know the number off the top of my head. Out of interest I may try it when I get back to London tonight.

I just (re)booked the Hilton Narita Airport. AP was 8,000 JPY; AAA was 8,550 JPY; BAR was 9,000 JPY.

How much lower are the room rates for AAA normally?

THe Advance Purchase rate is normally about 10% cheaper than the AAA rate but yes the AP rate has some nasty conditions...e.g no cancelations possible!

Thx. Is the AAA rate exactly the same conditions as fully flexible rate?

If you do a dummy booking you can then view the rate conditions, but it appears to be much the same from a quick glance.

Cancellation policy is the same as Best Available rate, which is normally no cost of cancelled by 4pm on day of arrival. But its really easy to verify from the web site when making the booking.

Yes it is...you may need to show proof that you are a affiliated member , it's a bit hit and miss dependent on the hotel.

Nor RAC (WA). Just use another code, you're still entitled to the discount.

I'm looking at an RAC WA membership to save some dollars on several Hilton hotels in the US next year. Is it correct that a RAC WA membership entitles me to use the AAA rate at Hiltons? If so, would the affiliate membership, which is only $29, also qualify?

Correct and I use this way occasionally.

RACWA code for AAA is 397. It is in small print on the back of my RAC card.

Unfortunately though the HH site won't accept this number (forehead slap), so one has to use one of the numbers available on the web in order to make the AAA booking online then take along your RACWA card for verification.

You can use the 16 digit number on the card instead of the 3 digit.

Otherwise 310 works just fine and I've used it several times now without being asked to show my card (which I do always carry "just in case"!).
