Struggling to use your Frequent Flyer Points?

Frequent Flyer Concierge takes the hard work out of finding award availability and redeeming your frequent flyer or credit card points for flights.

Using their expert knowledge and specialised tools, the Frequent Flyer Concierge team at Frequent Flyer Concierge will help you book a great trip that maximises the value for your points.

I am starting to feel I should have just risked it and gone to the US. But I guess knowing my luck I might have been sent back so it's probably better the process I went through.

Yes I know they are still crimes but you cannot put someone who was convicted of armed robbery or someone convicted of rape and someone stealing a loaf of bread or smoking dope in the same category.
At the end of the day, our own social/ethical/moral judgements are not important - for good or bad. It appears that the USA, for immigration purposes, deems all these indiscretions as suitable reasons to deny entry.

Each individual does have the choice to admit previous offences, or not. They may, though, have to deal with the consequences of that decision.

Also, lying on the VW form and being deported could have more severe impact than just having probs going to USA for the next few years

So now I am left wondering how Ben Cousins managed to get a Visa for his journey to the USA to undergo drug rehabilitation?

Mr Heath agreed to a 90-day adjournment on $1000 bail so that Cousins, who has never tested positive for illicit drugs, could return to drug rehabilitation in the United States at an undisclosed date.

Either there is no consistency in the application of the rules for granting a Visa, or Mr Cousins is not planning to disclose his visits to the magistrate when completing his I94W form.

What are the odds of a fellow pax dobbing him into the LOTFAP IMMI people? Reckon some would be queuing up for the opportunity to score a brownie point or two.

Imagine having him sitting beside you for however long the flight takes?:(

After about 10 minutes I was told no problem and I could enter the country and next time answer "No" to this question.

Did you get that in writing from someone there? :?:

What class of visa would he be entering the country on? Obviously if he is going for drug rehabilitation, that in itself would tell the authorities something....

I think it it would most likely be a B2 Medical Treatment visa.
But that has the same application/entry requirements as a regular Visitors B2 visa. I assume this the same Visa that the US government has refused to grant to some applicants based on their criminal record.

No. Even getting something is writing there is no guarantee that next time a different border protection officer will make the same decision.
