What the campaign manager said on the rally numbers :

In a statement, Mr. Parscale, the campaign manager who many advisers singled out for the overhyped numbers, claimed the reports about TikTok users and Korean pop music fans foiling attendance at the rally were inaccurate, and even raised the possibility of not allowing the news media to attend events in the future.

“Leftists and online trolls doing a victory lap, thinking they somehow impacted rally attendance, don’t know what they’re talking about or how our rallies work,” Mr. Parscale said. “Registering for a rally means you’ve RSVP’d with a cellphone number and we constantly weed out bogus numbers, as we did with tens of thousands at the Tulsa rally, in calculating our possible attendee pool.”

Is this fake news? Surely, the last comment can't be true. I guess it's "only" a primary.

I guess we should be grateful that our politicans by and large have no say in running elections, and it is trusted to a largely competent group of independent civil servants. The Westminster system does have its advantages.

Does Mitch McConnell rely on black voters?? Wouldn’t he not need to worry about his primary? Or are they referring to the Democratic primary to find a candidate against him? So a less black-supported opponent?? I am confused

It's saying those who might want to get rid of Mitch McConnell have almost no chance because of a deliberate move to create a lack of polling stations and an inability to postal vote.

So there were a lot of black Republican voters about to turnout To vote to get rid of McConnell as their Senate Candidate For Kentucky.......not sure that is factually correct

That is twisting what was said. It doesn't say what their intentions were. What is says it we will never know their intentions

Quoting from some unspecified instagram account? You are kidding, right? Even the New York Times would be more credible.

Maybe this will help

I happen to think it is the Democrats who did this with a democratic governor. In the republican primary with just a week to go Mcconnell had over $15 million cash and the next best $5000.

But in the Democratic primary it was a white woman up against an African American fellow. The establishment wanted the woman to win

But now the fellow is ahead in some of the polls.

....and including a NY Times link for good measure.....

So perhaps more to do with Democrats primary than McConnell..I guess Black Democratic candidate might have a better chance Vs McConnell .....If the Democrat establishment is pulling the levers for this change, this might not reflect well on Biden, even though Kentucky is deep red.

I said NYT would be more credible, not that it would be credible 😊.

But yeah, I’m really going to wade through all that sludge. I don’t know how folks get the time - I certainly have better things to do! But thanks for the effort.

Interesting. Obviously I have no way to verify the figures quoted. But the craigslist ads for supporters @$250 are still up

Circulating on twitter about Tulsa rally

6,116 Total Attendees
2,837 paid actors sourced from craigslist and others
986 from Trump campaign 2020
532 from Trump propaganda machine
183 were plain clothes security
1,578 REAL attendees

In US Independence Day news, Kayne West has announced he is running for President in 2020. Got ‘support’ comment from Elon Musk.

Let’s see whether the paperwork to get on ballots and fundraising/political donations even happen.

And if it happens the Trump campaign must be breathing a huge sigh of relief. If the candidacy goes ahead Trump must almost be assured of victory. The trouble with first past the post systems.

It’s possible that Kanye might be to Biden what arguably Perot was to Bush snr and Nader was to Gore.

92 with a weakening economy you could equally argue Bush snr was going to lose anyway.

00 would the Nader votes go to Gore in Florida? Or not appear at all.

As you also probably know, the US also doesn't have compulsory voting.

We just have to see how this plays out.

USA Politics just gets stranger and stranger....

Personally I would not want to vote for any of the possible 3 candidates.
