Urgent help please cannot link KrisFlyer to my velocity account

Hi I want to transfer some points to KrisFlyer account. I have not linked to any KrisFlyer account under my velocity account. When I go to the linking page, enter my KrisFlyer account, it keeps saying the KrisFlyer account you entered is invalid.

I previously had aKrisFlyer account but that is not linked to any velocity account. It was just created so I can get the rewards points from a flight. Never used it again and since already expired. So I just created a new KrisFlyer account this time around .

Initially I thought it couldn’t find it due to being newly created. But one day already passed and I converted some points from my Credit card and it is already landing onto this new KrisFlyer acc. So it is working.

My KrisFlyer has my first name +middle name as the first name. And my velocity only has first name so I thought maybe that’s is the issue and since then created a new velocity account so the name match exactly, but it is still showing the same error.

I really need to transfer a few more points so I can get the award flight before it is gone. Please help!!!

There is an issue when you have an expired account. I believe you have to contact KrisFlyer so they can unlink the old account. It takes a few days. I dealt with this a year or two ago.

Ok, even though I did not link velocity to the old KrisFlyer number? I thought the issue only happens when I previously linked the two.
