Up to 30000 bonus points with JQ Mastercard

Am I in the minority in not applying for the JQ Platinum Mastercard. I already have 2 cards, so why would I need any more.

I am always worried that I wouldn't qualify. I could put enough through the credit card to get the 10,000 points bonus.

I wonder if anyone will use the JQ Mastercard to pay for Ozfest. any one know the first 4 digits.

Yes I am quoting my own post Whilst I still think QFF Pesos doesn't worth that much, but after posts by serfty and markis10 on J/FASAs, and realisation that I have more trips later this year and current lower balance of MR points, I changed my mind. Also I did my homeloan refinance late last year so I should not have a problem on that end for a while. So I decided to collect more QFF Pesos and applied for the card. Two days later I sent in payslips. Then about 1 week later (today) I got my Platinum card and activated it. Call me cheapskate! :mrgreen:

Data point on income: I have the income to get myself a Amex Plat Charge card without issues, I have mortgage but always pay CC balance off each month.

I am also getting my better half to apply as well. She wants to travel more!

My wife just got a J* rejection letter. When calling the centre asking why that is the case they could not provide an answer. Very strange as she hardly have any credit card applications and also salary is way above what is required.

Applied 6th March I think.
Rec'd SMS asking for payslip on 9th March and turned around immediately.
Rec'd card in the mail yesterday (14th March) with $5k credit limit...I'm sure I asked for $10k thinking there would be a minimum limit for the Platinum card but not bothered either way.

My card arrived last night, activation was painless and FF number added so waiting to see how long for the 20k to arrive.. Have to pay school fees so that will cover a fair whack of the 5k.

How long ago did you get the card? Did you see the 20,000 in your jetstar card account before the made their way to your QFF account?

I made my first payment on the card about two weeks ago and still just the points for the dollars spent appear on the jetstar card account and nothing transfered yet into QFF.

i didn't get an SMS requesting the payslip, i was asked the CALL THEM (lazy %#$@) and then after all that verification rubbish, oh can you please send us a payslip? oh ffs, you could have asked me that in an SMS! i bet after i send all this cough in i still won't get the card.

How are you planning on changing your recent application in order to get it approved? Are you hoping they neglect to notice that you just applied and got rejected?!

I am going to pay our private health insurance before 31 March (12 months) to take advantage of the current rate before the increase.
Then the rates and a couple of hotel stays, and I should be right for the additional 10,000 points

Received card Thursday.
Limit requested, received.
No documentation stating will get 20K points?????
Very happy with service so far!

EDIT: They want exact name on QFF card ahhhhhhh......requires a call back as they wont check?.....Thought my number would do it?????????????
OH AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED PIN NO????
Only -ve is they said that will not change PIN number to what I want?????

Nope.

When I applied I heard nothing (no confirmation email, no reference number or anything). Hadn't heard anything after a few days so called to see what was happening. Put on hold and then told I was just another reject.

'I'm sorry Sir, I cannot give you any further information'. I asked if there was any other information I could provide that might assist (as I hadn't been asked for pay slips or anything) and was told there was nothing I could do.

I've never been rejected over the last four years while I've been working.... My income is six figures so maybe I'm also in the 'too much income' bracket?

Also, I've not had a flurry of activity on my credit file that would make a credit provider wary. I also have quite a few cards that are all in perfect standing...

This is the most ridiculous thing ever - do they not want any customers???

I don't care anymore however as I've now got the CitiBusiness card so helloooooooo 1.25 points per dollar!!! (and the customer service can't be any worse than for the J* card by the sounds of it...)
