And hubby clearly agreed that said AFF poster was totally on the money

I'm wondering if some viewers are experiencing a "Quantum of Solace" moment with S2? Casino Royale set such a high bar for Daniel Craig's tenure as Bond that Quantum of Solace was almost guaranteed to be a comparative disappointment even if it wasn't a bad film. I wonder if the same is happening here for some folks in that S1 of The Night Manager was such an outstanding series that S2 is letting some folks down a bit?

Out of curiosity (and without giving away too much for those who haven't already watched), what aren't you liking about it?

I think too many irrelevant flashbacks happening for the first episode so you get confused as to what you are watching and when. I kept hoping to see links. From one of the scenes I thought that Roper was identified in the present but it was 6 years earlier. And was hopeful that his demise was a part of the show but he isn't and other than the one mercenary he remembers, and his son, the two series are not really linked as such. Was also hoping to see Olivia Coleman again.

And the 10 years didn't treat Pine kindly . Shame.

I get where you're coming from, however I strongly recommend persisting if you haven't already done so. Personally, I think it's well worth it. But that's just the opinion of this AFF poster

DTF St Louis on HBO. I started it thinking it would be a comedy because of the 'dtf' and Jason Bateman, but gawd is it a good crime drama!

Have read a few reviews of the new Scarpetta series . Nicole Kidman’s acting is described as all the animation of an AI bot! Will give it a go, there was a time at ‘The Turn of the Century’ when I hoovered up Patricia Cornwall novels then ai found them samey samey

IMO Nicole Kiman cant act, she is just her uptight self in every role, only the costume and the accent changes. Australia has many more talented actresses. Seeing her listed in a cast is a signal for me to not bother watching.

Isn't all her "acting" like that?

Watched first episode last night and was ok.

She's quite good in the Big Little Lies series. And Special Ops Lioness.
