Status match offered from OneWorld and SkyTeam carriers, for 4 months and more, if TK flight is taken:

Applied last Sunday (match to Qantas Plat), they replied overnight, asking for image of passport, Elite status approved Overnight again! Very impressive.

You have to take an international TK flight to retain the status after 4 months.

Gave it a go purely to see and no go for me as VA Gold.

I've been thinking of matching to them and in Europe in August, so might have to do this...

TK is a *A member so I don't see purpose of them matching status of another member airline.
