Anyone know if SQ are allowing Turkish Airlines Business Class passengers access to the SQ Lounge at MEL once flights start in March?

Unless TK are paying them to open early it’s more or less a moot point. Lounge opens at 21:35, TK departs at 22:30. Means 25 mins max in the lounge really. Wait and see, perhaps TK will, like TG I think use the NZ lounge.

even though the first flight arrived in Melbourne on the weekend, the TK website shows no announcement of Australian lounges - there's a long list of countries in which they "contract out" lounges but none (so far) in Australia

I guess the Marhaba or Plaza Premium Lounges. Preferably the former.

Melbourne to Istanbul, via Singapore

Ahead of their 10.30pm flight out of from Melbourne, Turkish Airlines business class passengers – along with Elite and Elite Plus members of the airline’s Miles&Smiles loyalty program, and their Star Alliance Gold equivalents – should enjoy access to the lounges of fellow Star Alliance carriers Air New Zealand or Singapore Airlines, depending on the opening hours of those lounges.

During their Singapore stopovers at Changi Airport’s Terminal 1 – the same terminal as used by Qantas and Emirates, among others – those same premium travellers will break their journey at T1’s Marhabra Lounge.

Doesn't the Air NZ lounge close at 19:00 every day?

Sitting in the NZ lounge currently awaiting our 0030 TG flight.
Went to the SQ lounge beforehand and was pretty underwhelmed by it. Not helped by the surly lounge dragon who didn’t exactly welcome us with open arms. In comparison the NZ lounge Angel was a huge ray of sunlight. Only about a dozen of us here. food is good and drinks are cold. Happy to stay here until we board
