Travelling J redemption SIA but Velocity Platinum status questions

Hi. So, you can probably guess from my question that I'm a newbie. Love reading but sadly not so agile. I'm travelling J on SIA redemption booking. No status with Star Alliance but am Platinum with Velocity. I've attached my Velocity platinum number to the SIA booking. Is my baggage allowance based on SIA J which is 40kg, OR am I entitled to the additional 20kg? Sorry, but can't get a straight answer from SIA. THANKS in advance!!
