I'd call it a service.

And is at least partially used within Australia. Coverage begins upon purchase.

For example if you broke your leg and were unable to travel then you would claim on your TI having never left Australia.

This raises an odd questions- extended warranty is a service but because apple box their applecare, it could be seen as good and could be TRSd, right?

Extended warranties cannot have the GST refunded.
