Morning All,

I am trying to find an Insurance policy that will cover my son on a Surfing trip to Mexico in June(may not happen I know).

He is a 20 year old photographer and has built up a substantial amount of equipment - probably around $10,000.

Can't find anything online in small print regarding this - thought I would use the wealth of knowledge here again ;)
Thanks
Kerry

Most travel insurance will have an item limit of around $2000-$4000 for camera equipment but will cover for an increased amount (for an extra premium).

QBE insurance offers up to a $4000 item limit then has this to say:

To cover items worth more than the item limits shown, ensure you have a current receipt or valuation (not a quote) as this will be required should you make a claim, otherwise we will not provide cover. (Note: The receipt or valuation must not be more than twelve (12) months old). You must insure the total value per item. Depreciation is not applied to specified items in the event of a claim.
