Travel consolidators - great package deals

Sorry, what makes this website a consolidator and not an online agent??

Doesn't look any different to any other online agents.

They might call themselves a "web based travel wholesaler", but I'd imagine that's more an attempt to differentiate themselves from other online agents.

After several online agency collapses in Australia in the past month, i'd be wary who you choose to give your money too if I were you.

Thanks for the warning - appreciate it.

They're not an online agency, you can't book online, only via phone.

More importantly the thing that is interesting is that they specialise in buying up distressed inventory and packaging it up. Hence the good prices.

So I'm interested in finding out about any other agencies that specialise in distressed inventory - cheap flight and accom packages.

They are part of i-Xplore, so I guess they do have some links into a wholesaler. It also looks to me that they are selling i-Xplore packages.

I'd guess those prices are probably ex-tax, fuel surcharge etc. and that when you call up they add that on.

Does anyone (Travel Guru maybe) know of a group called Mobile Travel Agent (MTA) :?:

If so what can you tell us :?:

What do you want to know about them?

They're an agency that offers experienced consultants the opportunity to contract to them and work from home.
MTA dont retail anything they purely provide a backend service and allow those who contract to utilise their licence etc. and do a split on comm.

A very good agency held in high regard in travel circles.

Anything you wanted to know in particular?

Travel Guru,

Thanks, that's all I need. I just saw an ad in our local paper and had never heard of them before. :D

They're a good agency, they're very selective with who they take on so they have a very experienced lot of agents.

Theyre one of 9 Virgin Galactic agents and they're about to become one of 12 Aussie Virtuoso agents which is invitation only.

Travel Guru,

That certainly fits in this case as the associated name is someone who I would certainly have confidence in dealing with, and that's unusual for me with travel agents :!:

I'd have no hesitation dealing with an MTA agent at all.
