My girlfriend and her son are travelling SIN-KUL (LCCT)- Krabi and return in April. I have never had any trouble with Air Asia - but am unfamiliar with the low cost trerminal in KUL.

HAs anyone got experience there. She has about 1.45 - 2 hours each way in transit. What are the procedures - does she have to clear immigration? Any thoughts would be appreciated to relieve her stress (and therefore mine).

Thanks in advance one and all.

You have to clear immigration, collect bags and recheck in. 1hr 45 min might be a bit tight, but doable especially if you do web checkin. You might not make it if the original flight is delayed though.

Latest checkin for an Airasia flight is 45mins, or 60mins for Airasia X.

Pretty easy to find your way around the LCCT, you can't miss the checkin desks on the left just pass McDonalds.

See the LCCT website.

Last time we have waited for about 40 minutes (!) for the checked bags to come out from LCCT.... that was a flight from SIN=>KUL, but at the same time HKG=>KUL was having same level of bags delays as well.....

I just did ool-kul-dps-kul-ool on air asia, last week.

As everyone said they will have to clear immigration, collect bags and re-checkin.

2 hours is a tight connection, given that airasia flights are frequently late and there is potentially a long walk from the aircraft to the arrivals immigration counters. Baggage takes a while to appear as well.

Air asia are a point to point carrier hence they are not liable for missed connections.

web checkin if possible and avoid checked bags if possible. If a tight connection always adivse the air hostesses so that you are the first out of the plane.
