Transferring points from Amex to PC

If you transfer points from Amex to Priority Club, does that count towards the points/stays you need to get platinum status, or do all points have to come from hotel spends to qualify?

PC practise seems to be that all points, no matter how they get there, count toward status. Repots say that buying points, transferring from friends, etc etc all count toward status.

They don't count towards stays though.

I can confirm that both purchased points and gifted points count towards status. I assume that transferred points would also count.

Yes its the quicker way to get to Gold or Plat by transferring your points to PC... a no brainer.
