I wonder any luck for Melbourne?
No, from the interactive map - link in the first thread:

Maximum eclipse 81% obscuration meaning 81% of the sun is blocked
Max eclipse at 1353hrs 22 July 2027

Moon will be 5% larger than the sun

Duration of eclipse from start to finish about 2hr 35 min between 1232hrs and 1507hrs

Assuming Melbourne Weather is good🤣

We have a big Outback road trip planned for 2028 so can easily time it to hit one of the smaller towns along the NT swathe that will get the full experience. We will have a tent to cover nights that accommodation is too expensive or fully booked, otherwise we usually stay in caravan park cabins.

We are cruising the Med for the 2027 eclipse. I purchased as soon as fares were released on celebrity. The price of the few cabins left are now well over double the price.
