It is good to see that I am not the only one who would prefer the wine to be served by the pint.

:p

Quite! We have had several F award flights between NRT-DFW.Have had the same purser on 5 of them.We get on very well.On our last flight he was serving mrsdrron and my FA asked what wine I would prefer-he answered-he will have the pinot, just leave him the bottle.
Nice to be known.

Thanks for the great TR.

Awesome TR thank you both for sharing your journey.

Based on your overall impressions would you agree with this product ranking: SQ R > JL F > SQ F > QF F?

Thanks for the TR TomCat - can't wait for your next trip.

Me neither. Pity most of it will be in Y...

Depends on whether you are talking hard product or service...I found the JL seat the most comfortable bed. SQ R was a tad too firm (could do with a mattress overlay). QF service was fantastic on the first leg, but staff a little absent on the longer, overnight leg, so puts SQ and JL ahead on that count...

I'm talking about the overall best experience from the moment of check in: ground services, lounges, onboard hard/soft products, arrival services etc.

I think I enjoyed your journey almost as much as you guys did and I'm very sad it's over (but then you probably are too) - I enjoyed coming home at night to catch up - Thanks so much

As promised earlier, I do plan to post my thoughts on all four products.

Thanks for your trip report and the F experience (which I am sure I will never see)
I did my first long haul J last year and loved it.
Being a foodie I enjoyed the food and wine pictures and details.
Thank you for sharing.

Well I can see at least another trip report in our future; this is the booked travel for 2017 so far!

A little bit of Y, a little bit of R.... I'm very excited for Suites, not so excited for Y

You need a bit of Y so the excitement for higher classes continues. At least, thats how I rationalise it :p

Our next jaunt is in Jetstar Y later this month to Bali  This is taking my philosophy way too far!

Oh, Y, Jetstar and Bali, thats a trifecta!:p
The upside of this crazy Y travel (plus a fair bit of J) will be WP for the first (and probably only) time.

WP. It is rather nice. Make the most of it when it happens. Maybe even that flukey Jetstar domestic flight that gets you into Sydney F every now and then. I think it still operates?

But SG is really the level that is needed flying internationally. And you will fall back as a soft landing so 2 years of niceness.

We stay at Bali Intercontinental in the Club area. We wont even leave - except to find a place to watch the AFL Grand Final. So pleased with that. We do not venture into hell - aka Kuta.

Yeah, we plan to make the most of WP; CX out of LAX and HKG. Possibly a trip or two to NZ. But yes, SG is perfectly adequate for us otherwise.
Enjoy; that sounds like a sensible plan.
