Wanting to book ret. tx. departing Oct. bne-lax & ret. Nov., J seat.

Found outbound classic award seat in Oct, when will Nov. seats be released or are there no seat availability?
Thanks,
cheers

It is usually ~353 days in advance. There have already been seats released for 07 December 2011 and everyday another day gets added.

Perhaps there is no availability for the dates you want. I can see business class availability LAX-BNE on 2, 13, 15, 16, 17, 19, 20, 21, 22, 23, 24, 26, 27, 28, 29, 30 November 2011.

On another note why not book Any Seat Awards instead of Classic award. Just as an example BNE-:LAX in business is 96,000 QFF points + $282.60 and would yield 140 SCs and ~12,567 QFF points.

Thanks JohnK, I've kind of read abt. the any seat awards but didn't really let the information stick. I will have a serious look at this as why use points for classic and get no SCs, etc. Not sure if I will be going to US or UK, will make a decision and then book. Have to get my new aussie passport first. cheers

Always book the one way J early when it is available.
The cancel fee is quite modest if you cannot get back.
Silver is all you really need for seat selection so Any Seat for that status is all that is really required as you get into the J lounge anyway.
