Sorry RooFlyer but I disagree.
As to the Air charters there was a flight from Stanley to Cordoba.
Stanley-no cases of Covid on 26/3 when they left.

In Cordoba they were medically checked and transferred to a Latam charter to SYD.They were checked for fevers and respiratory symptoms in Cordoba.
Cases of Covid 19 in Cordoba province as at 27/3-the day after their transit-95.

The original directive of the police on leaving SYD in the early hours of 28/3 having arrived at SYD at 2200 on 27/3 was that those living within 20 mins of SYD were provided with transport home.those that lived interstate were to go to a hotel and could fly home on 28/3.
At some time on the morning of 28/3 the decision was changed and mandatory quarantine was enforced.

So why were people flying in from the USA and the UK on 27/3 and 28/3 allowed to fly interstate and do mandatory self isolation at home?Surely they were from a far higher risk environment.

As I have said on at least a couple of occasions before this crisis there are 2 states I will not work in because of the incompetence of their Health bureaucracy -NSW and SA.They are living up to their reputation.

Deadset, they should be stripped of all credentials after serving in the front line of this catastrophe.

I'm a doctor and thought the same. But the situation is not quite as reported by the smh. The management of disembarkment was a shambles - a recurrent theme. Doctors report being told they could self isolate in a hotel or fly home and then self isolate at home. They had to submit forms stating who would collect them from the airport. So some headed to the airport to catch a domestic flight only to be met by armed police. The real story is the inability of who is actually responsible for returning ships to get their collective act together.
