Cathay Pacific Airways today reopened its Level 7 Business Class Lounge of The Wing at Hong Kong International Airport following an extensive renovation. The newly opened 1,935-square-metre Level 7 lounge, together with the 1,002-square-metre Business Class Lounge on Level 6 that reopened in April last year, offers a new level of comfort and service for passengers flying out of Hong Kong.

See you there on your next ex-TPE status run! ;)

Looks pretty nice can't wait to see what they do with the F Lounge.
Hopefully they will still have those awesome steamed pork buns :D

Loving the new roof rain showers ( at least I think that's what they are )

I guess you mean the "First Class" part of the wing.

It's only for renovation, so I would expect it to re-open soon enough.

I read on AusBT it wouldn't re-open til the end of the year

Mrs Lime and self will be travelling Y on CX mid April next, me as an Q SG can we use this new wing lounge on departure from HK?.

AusBT? meh ... This was actually noted by CX anyway in the article yohy?! linked to:
...
The final phase of renovations for The Wing will be for the First Class Lounge, which will begin shortly. Designed by London-based architects Foster + Partners, The Wing renovations will be completed in full by the fourth quarter of 2012. ...

With Sapphire Status you should have no issue. If departing from low numbered gates it's straight forward, if high numbered (~60) then you could visit it before taking the people mover to the other end of the terminal.

Have they said when the first lounge will be closed for renovation?

Will be there in a couple fo weeks and hoping it will still be open....

Can heartily recommend the Wing :) enjoyed multiple helpings at the noodle bar tonight along with delicious Kirin beer.

Then adjourned to the Coffee loft for almond croissant, piper heidsieck and haagen daz :)

Pics to come

Sounds good :)

Currently at The Wing.. It is very swish. Though I wish the frosted glass around the upper (main) level was clear so we could see more of the goings on on the tarmac. Can recommend the noodles.. Enjoying some now. Shower update to come. If they ate anything like The Pier, we're in for a treat! Shame I have no one to save water with this time...
Darn, it won't let me add a pic. Oh well.
