We were there last Saturday. Spent 2 hours in the new section and could have spent more.

Will definitely be back to spend more time there. We’re lucky we know a guy high up there who sowed us around. Didn’t have enough time but will take us thru the sheds with the items not on display.
They still have a few more rooms to finish off, around the end of 2027 should be completed.

CWA of NSW has its yearly conference at Canberra next year (May 2-7) I am sure the new section will be part of our tours.

My mother worked in the library at the War Memorial in the late sixties, so I was fortunate to be shown some of the back room stuff during school holidays.

After making it to the end of the Great Ocean Road at Port Fairy, we spent last night at Colac. Our next stop is in Melbourne, to catch up with the kids, and take the granddaughter to her first AFLW hanger at Windy Hill.

Knowing we'd need somewhere for lunch, we found del Rios Winery and Restaurant at Anakie. A brilliant place to stop.

Our travel office for the next eight days wending our way through several Kenya game parks from Mombasa to Nairobi. Six individual seats plus two on the bench at the rear bulkhead, but we are only an exclusive-use party of six.

The town is certainly still buzzing. The general store is brightly painted and there were what looked like a lot of locals out the front.

We passed by Bacchus Marsh airfield on the way down, but didn't stop in. I'm planning to go down to the Australian Gliding Museum later this year to get a copy of the Kookaburra drawings they have scanned. I'm planning to build a scale model of the ES52 Mk4b, VH-GRM that I went solo in. I'll send you pictures of the aircraft they have.
