My Parisian partner, who is seldom sentimental, spontaneously starting to preface every message he sends me with "mon cher".

Waiting in the bank and my back doesn't like standing still for too long and went over to the counter to stretch and a lovely man (customer) went a got a chair so I could sit down

Seat Granddaughter sent a postcard to Gigi (my mum) from the wedding in South Africa in early April. It arrived 10 days ago.

Dreaded assumed disaster did not occur.

Have a hire car for a week or two. Popped down to the public swimming pool 3km away. Stowed my possessions and entered the pool, walked through the water to the other end where I do my exercises and sensed something wasn’t right.

Felt in the bathers pocket and there is the fob for the rental car that had become detached from my other keys.

Quickly jumped out of the pool and dried fob on my towel. After the session an hour later walked to the car fully expecting having to call RACQ and fork out an arm and a leg for a new fob.

But no! Car opened and I drove home. Been out and about all day yesterday and today and continuing to work fine.

Phew - LTIK.

I did the touristy thing and sent a post card to the gkids from the historic Saigon Post Office @Quickstatus @VPS last year


Stamp was more expensive than the card - but it did arrive - eventually!
