PERfect Hobart Weather

Now imagine running from Wrest Point (the white thing on the foreshore) to the summit.

‘Point to Pinnacle’ race every year.

What are those weird white/grey fluffy things in the sky?

Shade against oppressive heat so we don’t get the 40° stuff like imPERfect places.

We had people thumbing for a lift up to the top because there were no parking. The place was packed, so many parking lower down and then trying to get up.
ROFL. Imagine the situation in winter when locals and tourists want to go up to the summit to see the snow up there. The road is closed often because of, well yes, the ice and snow.

So imagine if there was a cable car going from the lower slopes up to the Summit. Restaurant and views. Much better all year round, right?

Now Google ‘Mount Wellington cable car’ as a case history of why nothing ever happens here. 😭

Indeed.
As a half measure they should just eliminate private cars up to top and just have shuttle buses from an intermediate stop

Even "kunanyi" (name) is debatable. My reading suggests it was made up by some committee??.

No need when the Tasmania GST relativity is 1.84 for 2025-2026🤣

If there was snow I would want only to look for one thing. A Tasmanian red Wattle holding snow within its flower - like a cupped hand holding snow

'Palawa kani' - the 'modern' Tasmanian Aboriginal language is a 1990s reconstruction from a number of incomplete colonial sources (such as the journals of George Augustus Robinson) plus some islander remnants, family stories etc, . But of course the colonial sources drew upon a diverse mixture of approx 12 non-interchangeable original languages. So Palawa kani is a bit of a 'construct'. Palawa kani is not recognised by all Tasmanian Aboriginal people (like some Tasmanian Aboriginal people don't recognise other Tasmanian Aboriginal people as being Tasmanian Aboriginal).

And we thank you for your taxes. Keep 'em coming - we have a stadium to build.

No good in winter.
