The chaos on the power poles in the picture is also eye openingChaos street offices.
We had people thumbing for a lift up to the top because there were no parking. The place was packed, so many parking lower down and then trying to get up.Now imagine running from Wrest Point (the white thing on the foreshore) to the summit.
ROFL. Imagine the situation in winter when locals and tourists want to go up to the summit to see the snow up there. The road is closed often because of, well yes, the ice and snow.We had people thumbing for a lift up to the top because there were no parking. The place was packed, so many parking lower down and then trying to get up.
Indeed. So imagine if there was a cable car going from the lower slopes up to the Summit. Restaurant and views. Much better all year round, right?
No need when the Tasmania GST relativity is 1.84 for 2025-2026why nothing ever happens here.
If there was snow I would want only to look for one thing. A Tasmanian red Wattle holding snow within its flower - like a cupped hand holding snowlocals and tourists want to go up to the summit to see the snow up there.
Even "kunanyi" (name) is debatable. My reading suggests it was made up by some committee??.

As a half measure they should just eliminate private cars up to top and just have shuttle buses from an intermediate stop
