The view or two from my "office"

We have a week in Broome next year. Recommendations appreciated.

A meal at Matso's is mandatory when in Broome.

Cable Beach Club is good, but exxy. You may find better bangs for the buck accommodation elsewhere. Sunset Bar at CBC is a bit of a zoo, but the Italian themed resto inside is quite good.

As @Daver6 has mentioned, a meal at Wharf is, as I had anticipated, good. We had a booking there but had to cancel as our voyage needed to leave a day early to avoid an impending cyclone: A Kimberley coast crawl

Rent a car and head up the Dampier Peninsula to Cygnet Bay Pearl Farm, calling into Beagle Bay mother of pearl church on the way: Criss-crossing the Kimberley.

Check out the boat trip options at their shop on Dampier Terrace to time a visit for a boat excursion: A longer brush with Broome

It's a sealed road all the way. The last few clicks into Cygnet Bay are a bit rough, but can be handled in a conventional vehicle. So no need to rent a 4WD.

Unfortunately, one of the best spots on the peninsula, Cape Leveque, is closed. But check if it may have reopened. It's beautiful. I best say no more as to the background of why it is closed.

Yesterday's office call, lunch at the Lighthouse Bistro and Pub, Nanaimo. Great views over a couple of bevies and an awesome New York cut sirloin with garlic butter.

Sea planes are a very common (and practical) method of transport in the region. Also frequently see a HeliJet S76 shuttling people between the island and Vancouver.

Seaplane traffic in Canada Bay. Mostly tourist flights but there are RPT flights to various towns on Vancouver Island.
One in, two out.
