Had an epic long lunch yesterday at Vue de Monde. Very impressed. Service was impeccable as was the food. Sometimes restaurants just try to hard by just using expensive ingredients for the sake of it. This was no the case here. Weather was glorious and after being lead through the kitchen for a tour, we were surprised to be lead outside to enjoy dessert. Fabulous afternoon!

Had an epic long lunch yesterday at Vue de Monde. Very impressed. Service was impeccable as was the food. I remember visiting VdM before it moved - we flew down for lunch a couple of times as it was incredibly cheap for what you got. Shannon Bennett would come out for a bit of a chat with diners and ask about the dishes. They have now moved into the big league and I haven't got round to booking - usually we don't plan a trip to Melbourne in enough time to make a booking. Funny I had a friend post on FB about dining at VdM this week as well.

Colmar is beautiful and so are some of the surrounding villages - I could go back there tomorrow
