We did the Concorde tour at Manchester Runway visitor centre. Again, LOTS of plane watchers and kids and there's a guy that runs a live plane watch with commentary on YouTube. A 380 got them excited

Seats were comfy, nice leg room

Nose thingy for those interested. The windscreen going up and down was interesting

After the last few days of cold weather in Canberra, we expected Sydney to be much the same. But we were wrong (thankfully)

Back in the upgraded Sofitel MEL office. One of the few times MEL has better weather than PER

Seat 11D,last row inJ, on a Etihad B787-9. Not recommended. Very tight and exposed. It is still better than any Y seat of course. Backwards facing does not worry me. The Etihad cabin crew were friendly but not at all proactive. After 15 hours in the air on two flights we were never asked if we would like a tea or coffee.

TGV from Frankfurt to Strasbourg. All announcements are in German, French & English. As usual for European public spaces and hotels the cabin temperature is set at about the same as we experienced in Abu Dhabi.



My wife swapped seats with me so I could be 'The Man in Seat 61'. We are in First Class. The legroom is about the same as Premium Economy but as usual the seatback is too low. We are on the upper deck.
