The view from my "office"

We usually don't fly QF out of LHR but for May trip we have to for DSC. Do you recommend the EK lounge as the best one?

We haven't tried the CX lounge (wasnt open when we went through) but EK was the best of the options at the time (AA, BA and EK).

If you have access to it (must be in F on QF or else CL) then I think it has the best food options. The CX menu was uninspiring and the dining area there is a bit drab.
The BA cook to order menu is ok but overall I think the food and beverage options there have slipped back again. Woeful Champagne (Henriot).

Day 3 of the first of our 4 day weekends this month started with a new mode of transport

Heading out from the Marina with a view of the nearby islands from the back of vessel

Miss QF WP enjoying shooting the breeze on the bowsprit (if I got the nautical term correct)

Some of us got into the boom net for a splash

The final mode of transport for the day:

brought us to this view

Was the lowlight of the trip - pedestrian at best going down and really needed a decent stop zone. I challenge anybody not to walk away with sand EVERYWHERE

So a dip here seemed in order and was great to take both kids out into the small 2-3 foot waves

The long road home. Waiting for QF2 to board at the EK Lounge in LHR ]

Nice photo couldn't workout why it was getting so many likes until I saw the word First.

Another photo trying to get a sunset one.

One of my life goals is to have a photo in an Inflight magazine, front cover would be good. On a Qantaslink flight you get both the standard magazine plus the Qantaslink Spirit magazine which features some good country articles.

Normal transport led us to Toboggan Hill Park (on our way to NTL)

"Hot" ice skating (better described as dry, skating on molded plastic) - but they seemed to enjoy it (well my sons first attempt on ice skates - he enjoyed it marginally more than the penguin)

My office then became a toboggan with my daughter trying to ram my son and me

Finally, the office so many of us love

Another day in Vienna - including Schloss Belvedere - made famous (or infamous) by the movie Woman in Gold.
