With the arrival of Babygr i am starting the slow process of getting into shape. I am only 86kgs (185cm) but a steady diet of great tasting but not so healthy food and much too much alcomohol (one alcohol free day in the past god knows when) and zero exercise means it is a long path I am on...

simongr, we match each other kg for kg, cm for cm

Even if you cut the booze in half, and increase exercise to 3 days a week I'm sure you'll notice a difference

85Kg is my optimum weight (for 183cm); shame I'm 10Kg about that.

I was up to 110Kg 10 years ago - went on a 3 week trip to Ireland, UK and Northern France and lost 12Kg ...

Now I need to lose more after seeing everyone's stats;-

I'm 167cm (I think) and I currently weigh 77.2kgs (which I know) and I'm on a mission to be below the 70kg mark - as you can see, I am currently a mini-Michelin man! My Body Mass Index says I'm OBESE!

I was up to 110Kg 10 years ago - went on a 3 week trip to Ireland, UK and Northern France and lost 12Kg ...
And I was 81kgs at 26 years of age when I first went back to Greece for 5 weeks and then a week in the USA and came back 88kgs. Four years later went back to Greece and toured Europe and came back 94kgs. I stopped going overseas but it has still been an uphill battle since.

I was 100kgs when I gave up smoking in 2003 and within a few months I was 115kgs. Since then I have hovered between 110kgs and 125kgs. Not good at all....

If I go -10/15kg, I'll be happy. To think that when I graduated from high school 7 years ago I was 185cm/68kg; that was a little bit too light! 75kg-80kg is a good weight for my height.

Anyway...... I do believe this thread has gone on-topic a little bit too much, so ........ how's about those West Coast Eagles, eh! They going to win this weekend? Maybe...... what can I say, I'm an optimistic man ! Although they did play well against the Lions at the Gabba last weekend.

Cutting the booze in half is the real challenge. It is an easy habit to get into of coming home, having a cold beer and polishing off a bottle of wine - all before 9PM...

However as I just got back from the physio and can actually walk upstairs semi pain free for the first time in months, I can start thinking about the next stage - running...

Well, i'd probably sell it and fly 1st class everywhere (and pocket the difference as spending money), but if forced:
Toilets and shower at the rear, "cinema" area next rear, Dining area in middle, Sleeping area forwardmost (proper beds, not convertible). Can I have heat seeking missles, and I'd want a pretty cool exterior paintscheme. Long range tanks so I can fly non-stop long distances (maybe I should trade for a secondhand A340 so I can fit more stuff and fly further?).

Best: Rest, fluids, simple relievers (panadol, sudafed etc).
