When I used to be able to read them.....and now they go from front verandah delivery directly into recycling bin.

You can request that you don't receive the delivery, theres a website somewhere.

My Place of Employment has social media positions X 5 available.

So someone could get paid way more than me to tweet about my colleagues & I.

Public service announcement for those on QF93 on the 23rd of November, Mrs Reload has had her upgrade to F confirmed, do not expect any champagne as she will be consuming it all. This is her first trip ever in F.

Thank you for your patience and understanding in this matter.
I hope you put that in the November Lounge Meets thread :D

Is a pain killer still a pain killer if it does not numb the pain?

Nope.

Iv been taking Tramadol and Nurofen Plus, does nothing for my back. Not does Voltaren, Naproxen or any other pain killer...

They are all useless for me... Like taking skittles

My doctor offered me morphine for my teeth because the pain was so bad; settled for panadeine forte though.

I had that kind of intractable pain when I had a ruptured disc in my thirties. Then the pain went away and I thought great. But that was actually a sign that the nerve had been crushed and my right leg was "dead" to the extent I had no movement. I had emergency surgery that day and while decades later I have some residual numbness in my foot I can at least walk.

Sounds like there is nerve stuff happening with you. Hope you can get it sorted.

My "Company Doctors" can't find a problem. Diagnosed me with "Non Specific Back Pain"

Came and offered me a financial settlement last week, to which I replied, get stuffed, I don't want your money, I want you to fix the problem!

The pain seems to be getting worse.

If it's lower back there's this spot on your buttocks (being professional here) where this is some kind of nerve pressure point. It's about cheek middle. If you press and massage that point really hard (and it hurts like crazy on the right spot) then it seems to release the pain.

MrP has intractable back pain from too much cricket. His is more degenerative. He also finds "lower body hanging" helps to stretch out his back.

The one thing that still kills my back is vacuuming. I've got a Dyson which is excellent but I'm done after 10 minutes. Then Dyson released this portable vacuum with the same power as the electrical one. Oh my god, I'm in love with it. House has never looked so clean.

The MRI showed Mild to Moderate Disc Degeneration, but that's about it,

Tonight is the first night I have had pain in my leg, with a strong pulsing sensation in my rear lower calf, don't know if it's related though.

Is that the one they have been advertising on the tellie for the last couple of months? I haven't had a Dyson before and need to upgrade my vacuum - you are happy with it I take it?

Jess, it's amazing. It's just so light. I can vacuum my stairs. The dust collection is small so it fills quickly depending how much dust. But now I've done a thorough clean it will be fine. Like I said I have a full on Dyson and can't see any difference in performance. But now if there's some fluff thanks to this guy:

I just grab the cleaner off its hook and the fluff bunnies are gone. Just too easy.

My sister LOVES her Dyson, she has this one =

I have used it and I am seriously thinking of getting one.

That's the model my EA got last week at HN as it was on sale. $520 I think after my raving about it. It just has an extra attachment to mine. I bought mine from appliances online whom I highly recommend for $488. Ordered one day and delivered the next for free. Paid by cc on delivery.
