Dare I say a one point win would be very satisfying but would not auger well for the Cats the following week.

2 goals 1 behind, 13 points.

Only thing worse than a real one sided match is a one sided grand final.. this is shocking... I am Vic (so Geelong by default) but where is the competition...margin exceeds 100 in a grand final. I am sure that has to be some kind of record.

Mmm, maybe I meant 192. ;)

Seriously, 130 wouldn't be a huge stretch. Bit of a joke really. The Lions could have put up a better fight. :p

Final score:

Geelong 24. 19. 163 Port Adelaide 6. 8. 44

The largest Grand Final margin ever :!:

I normally go for the Saints, but I suppose in this match I'm a Geelong person by default. So HOORAY! :D :p

Can't imagine why you'd be a Saints supporter! Probably time for the silverware to go back to Victoria for a while.

Well apart from looks..............:D

Congrats to Geelong on a wonderful win, am also a St Kilda supporter.

Interesting to see that Geelong slowed down a bit and couldn't quite match Carlton's score (defeating Richmond) of 1972, 28.9.177-22.18.150.

Pit they didn't kick a little more accurately, in which case they would have romped it in :!:

With 24.16 (40 scoring shots) to Port's 8.6 (14 scoring shots), accuracy might have taken them above Carlton's score.

Interestingly, even if all behinds went through the middle, no one would have walked home $1m richer. Just some good (and cheap) PR for Crazy John's.

Well I'm being tugged in both directions, we have the Eagles (albeit Manly) and the Storm from Melbourne. Even though I dont follow the game I going to go for the Storm.
