my iphone 4 is now a small ipad..... the ear speaker is dead.....:(
happened to anyone else?

Have just reviewed my bookings for Japan in June.No thoughts of cancelling yet.
Certainly tourism must be badly affected. Some of the hotel rates have plunged-
Sheraton Kobe-had booked a standard king at Y32000 a night.Just changed it to a high floor, ocean view room at Y8,600.I guess earthquake memories in Kobe are quite raw.
Westin tokyo-had booked over 6 months ago at Y24,500 a night.Checked 2 weeks ago and cheapest room was Y62000,today Y26500.
Westin Nagoya though hasn't changed.

You'd have to be concerned if you had a business in Australia that relied heavily on inbound Japanese tourism.

Usually if they are feeling the pinch in CNS they will in AYQ also.

Well, guys, I've finally done it - coming off AA 721 from DFW to LAS, I've accrued 1415 status credits before my anniversary date of 31st March, so I am WP for the first time in my life. I know I haven't achieved anything, but it feels like an achievement. Especially since AA lost both my bags on different occasions, and is likely to have to send one of them back to Sydney.

A few days in SFO now to allow the status to be credited, and then I'll be flying SFO-LAX-SYD - with enough time to visit the AA T4 Flagship Lounge at the LAX transfer.

I want to thank everyone here - everyone here is amazingly helpful with constructing itineraries and dealing with the

And now I'll have to find reasons to go to the SYD First Lounge... *grin*

I am WP for the first time in my life.

Congrats! It's an amazing feeling when you first get WP. Now you have to work out how to retain it (while using the various perks that come with the tier!!).

At least it's only 1200 SCs next year instead of 1400 :)

Congrats beardoc from another relatively recently minted WP.

It does indeed bring some enjoyable/useful benefits. :)

It also introduces a problem. :(

It was never a challenge for me to requal NB, it was simple. :p

Now I am finding I'm having to plan very carefully if I am to be any chance of retaining WP - at least its only 1200 required. ;)

I'm glad you pointed out that it was footwear,a combination of boot and the other sort of thong might look very weird indeed:!::mrgreen:

When I read the earlier post I thought that half boot and half thong meant that someone had received a kick in the cough. Your post Nigel confirms the image that I have in my mind - of someone deshabille having been kicked whereupon the kicker's boot has come loose and wedged somewhere

Welcome to the club beardoc. It's not easy getting that first 1400; hopefully getting 1200 is relatively simpler.

It you are a tomahawk salesperson for Raytheon you would be expecting a PO from the US Navy shortly given they used 200 overnight on Libya, thats a lot of firepower!

Dont know what happened but got 5C on OLCI BNE-MEL today-must be because I am a very long time QPNB.Still missed out on my usual Row 2 MEL-DPO so 5C all the way.

Row 5 isn't exactly a preferred seat on a 738. On a 734, you did well, although it is Sunday today, give or take.

Selecting a forward seat on Dash 8s seems almost impossible unless you check very close to departure, are a CL or get it switched at the airport. Not sure if this is for balance purposes. I almost never can get more forward than row 4 on a Dash 8 (and no further than row 6 for CBR flights).

Thanks you! There are some big changes in life right now, and the focus is going to be on work/life balance. I'll be getting time of for a DONE4 each year, I'm planning. That's how I'll requal.

Over $US100 million value. Amazing how much they're worth, and no wonder why the US in such a black hole financially.

Hands up all tomahawk salespeople on this board!

None of the arms dealers on this board have owned up in any of the what do you do threads!

Was a 734.Absolutely full but obviously very few elites.Couple next to me were NB.Fellow in 4D PS.On the MEL-DPO or return this is the first time I have been allocated past row4.But it is a run I do frequently.

Seems it's not just the newspapers that the term "no news" was created for, this from

When is the News not really the News?

Yesterday’s Nine News at Five reported that an accident in the Eastlink Tunnel in Ringwood, east of Melbourne, caused traffic chaos.
“A utility carrying toxic materials crashed into a car and burst into flames,” said Peter Overton.
“Motorists jumped from their cars as smoke filled the air activating emergency sprinklers.”
Just one problem.
It was a mock exercise to train emergency workers. The tunnel had been closed by authorities for half a day. Camera crews were on hand to capture the scene.
At least Nine News Melbourne and Seven News Melbourne gave out the correct info at 6pm.
