But very impressed with Edinburgh security. Fast Track was fast, security equipment seems superior to Sydney. Almost enjoyable.

Had to ask. Told yes, orange juice is warm on purpose but they provide ice cubes.

I don't understand how your daughter was allowed on the plane if not in the booking. Surely the a/c manifest has to be an accurate record of all POB?

Won't be long now before you have to pay for her.
It's usually a late decision to take daughter with me back to Sydney and they can add daughter to booking at check-in. Takes around a minute or two at most.

Yes I need to start paying for her in 4+ months. That will make things a little more difficult especially with $1100+ airfares at Christmas so have to rethink those plans.

Insurance companies must love the alcohol ‘get out clause’. I’d hope you’d have to blow over the limit before they could use it though.

Mmm let me think about that “get cough faced, drive a car, have a car smash”. Yep. I reckon someone else should pick up the tab on that lack of personal responsibility....., yeah right !

i was standing in the shallow end of the pool with Ms FM when on hols. Chatting to someone on the edge but keeping an eye on her. She walked a little away from me and the water went over her nose and she just froze - she didn’t attempt to move back or anything. I grabbed her and pulled her back, but I reckon she would have just stood there and died if no one was watching. She was about 18 months and on returning home I immediately put her into toddler swimming classes.

The little girl that GPH saved was probably 2 years old and had been to a lot of swimming lessons. Including the fully clothed lessons where they are taught to roll themselves over and swim for the side if they fall in. She was frozen I guess and not making any attempt to save herself.

It's the silence in drowning children that's terrifying. Saw it myself in a bathtub once and I was kneeling right next to it. She slipped down under the water. Only seconds but zero reaction from her.

J cabin only half capacity today, Edinburgh to Abu Dhabi.

Lady next to me ordered wine for after 10am delivery. She said, "One doesn't drink until after ten".
Well the sun is over the yard arm somewhere in the world!
I remember being on a cruise and we went to the coffee shop for a coffee about 9 or 9.30am. There was a group of 2 couples where the men were having beers and the women had a bottle of Sav Blanc between them.*

* hate auto correct on the phone when I can’t see it!

Hubby ordered a steak sandwich for breakfast. After the 10 o'clock wine announcement, I said go for it Honey.

This is the set menu for 9.30am departure.

The reference to the get out clause. Why would any insurer cover you if you’re drunk ?
I didn’t mention being drunk. I said under the limit. ie having a glass of wine at dinner should not render your insurance invalid.

Oh. They almost certainly meant that if I had been over the limit, not just traces of alcohol in my system from a glass of wine!

Ok. Point taken. However over the limit automatically renders one in the wrong :-(

this was the scary thing - you always assume they will do something to react, but she just stood there with the water over her nose and just didn’t move.
