Oh, I dunno. I understand superstitions well enough; I just don't indulge. Although these, from my gggg-grandfather's place I'm researching, are part of a family of superstitious symbolism throughout Tasmania, and beyond that are not well understood. What do you reckon?
They look interesting. The first one looks familiar.

Oh darn. I forgot the blessed salt at home that was used to try and break the evil spell on me. It has helped the past couple of days.

If you mix the ‘blessed salt’ with holy water does it explode, turn blue, or just dissolve?

Positive thinking makes good luck.
Oh I don't know.

You're standing on the tee and there's a 150m water carry in front of you and you hit the ball hard along the ground. You can be as positive as you like in your thinking but at that point only prayers will help.

Same if you hit the ball toward trees, bunkers out of bounds.

Had 3 putts lip out today rolling in towards the hole not away from the hole. Yes I'm not the greatest putter but I'm not bad either.

Another hole I'm deep in trees right with a small gap I can see. Hit a four iron beautifully through the trees, through the fairway and sits between trees in rough that is possibly 5 metres wide. Short of trees is clear fairway and past the trees is an open tee box. Yes I played the shot but no reward at all for a lovely shot.

This happens way too often to be dismissed as not having positive thinking. I have very little luck.

Perth Scorchers did great tonight. Semi final may be at the new Optus Stadium in Perth next week.

Ideally it'll be Friday since I have the day off work.
Would be one of the few times having media accreditation will come in handy.

You have just explained the problem completely. You are never going to have good luck on a golf course as you are playing the Devil's Game.

Try it in real life (not in a game) and oh so often it does work.

Went to his restaurant (temple of French food) outside of Lyon a few years back, L’Alberge. Was fabulous and he came out (or more correctly was semi wheeled out from his residence upstairs to greet each table, shake hands and have photos taken. Excellent night. Fab food.

Added excitement as French taxi drive back to Lyon at 110+ through the 50 zones.

That restaurant has been on my bucket list so a tad jealous of this anecdote.

Pretty safe to say my prediction a couple of months ago that my neighbours marriage being in the toilet is true. Generally, peoples change of behaviour like hers is an indicator that one of them was cheating. Havent seen him since mid December and the half ripped out gutter guard mesh he was removing is still half hanging off the house. Considering how ODC for cleaning he was, doubt he wouldnt have left it there if he was coming back.

I don't necessarily disagree with what you've said here, but I also think that @Denali has every right to ask to see a badge, just as much as they can require a breath test.

That is absolutely the case, and further more you are entitled to record their information (name, badge number) for future reference.

Again, I admit I over reacted. I knew they were there, I know they were real cops, I was being a argumentative B because I thought they were being over dramatic in their pursuit of the fat, middle aged woman in her driveway who was just out getting her weekly Coles on and my Unicorn Gaytimes were melting.

BUT, I guess thats also what happens in some of these US incidences where a poor, innocent person gets shot by overzealous cops and a person thats saying, wait, what, why.

In them meantime, made someones day by giving them free Foo Fighter tickets for Sat concert. I had spares, this is a old school friend of hubbys, her dad died in Nov, brother died in Dec and she had surgery during the year, her mum lives with them and she couldnt afford to go. Now shes going with her 18yr daughter and my husband (plus a 4th/old school friend). Which means I stay at the Pullman and get room service and a bubble bath :) Win for everyone.

While I understand that you are teetotal, that matches a profile for drink drivers

I know! I was also random stopped at the front of my local Big W for a 10am RBT.

Cop: Any alcohol in the last 24hrs
Me and hubby: Not in the last 24yrs!

Who are all these 50yr women driving drunk? Too much wine last night or triffle at dessert?

Too much every night. Too much at lunch with their friends etc...

The ones that gets me the most are the school mums who go to pick up their precious bundles absolutely smashed.

Woman accused of driving five times over blood-alcohol limit
The 38-year-old Echuca woman returned a positive preliminary breath test, police said.

She was taken back to the station, where a second breath test returned an alleged reading of 0.278 per cent, more than five times the legal limit of 0.05.

Slightly younger than our age group but I am fairly confident she will still be driving drunk at 50 if alive.

Is trouble meant to follow someone everywhere? More plots and twists than days of our lives.
