My sister has a small camper thingy that I refer to as the Turtle. I often see similar at petrol stations ect and wonder if they have someone tied up and kidnapped in the back.

I remember driving through NT and seeing lots of caravans and Winnebagos and then you see them at the caravan place and they are sitting at the front reading a paper in the morning, sitting at the front playing cards in the arvo and when talking to them, they havent moved during the day. I dont get it.

At least the guy owned up. Happened to me two years ago and the culprit took off, leaving me to foot the damage bill.

I had the opportunity to leave a note on a car window damaged be another car earlier this year. I was the witness.
The owner thanked me for writing the letter but then proceeded to ask me for my insurance details.
"Hey, Thanks for writing the note, can I have your insurance details?"
"Um did you read the letter - it says I was the witness"
"Yeah - so you were the driver"
"No I was the witness - not the driver of the car causing the accident"
"Oh so you did not cause the accident"
"No"
"Ok so who did"
"Thats why I wrote the note - if you read it you will see the description of the vehicle which caused the accident, time, date of accident, place of accident"
"Ok but you were the driver of that car"
"No because I was in the car behind and witnessed the accident"
"Oh ok, so what do I do now?
"Show the letter to your insurance company"
"It is not insured"
"Talk to your dad"

Another death that got missed.Gordon Ostlere on 11/8/2017 at the age of 95.
Much better known as Richard Gordon who wrote the Doctor series of books in the 50s.

I was at a set of traffic lights. Old lady in front of me decided to reverse. Lights were still red. She hit me. I pulled off the road when safe and she drove a distance ahead and then pulled over. I started to walk towards her and she drove off! Reported her to the local police station. He checked on the computer and then just groaned. She’s an habitual it seems. They dispatched a police car to go visit her. Damage all sorted via Insurance.
Recent?

Stupid people are every where;

Received a parcel at the front door from Melbourne today;

Was my address but had a different name;
The sender didn't bother to include their phone number or the phone number of the receiver.

I probably just leave it outside and see if the sender or the receiver decide to come and collect it.

Its a piece of clothing of some sort, so probably not that expensive but worth something to the person who wants it.

Any one got Apple CarPlay in their car?. Do you like how Apple Map functions as an Apple CarPlay in-car navigation unit?

Just discovered that the satellite view in Apple Maps uses a lot of phone data enough to go back to Standard view.

Considering they are coming out with a new iphone, your Apple Carthingy will have a new IOS upgrade soon and then it wont work, battery power will be cut in half and you will have to buy a new car.

Youre welcome...

You're better off downloading Here WeGo (Formerly Nokia Maps) for Apple or Andriod. Then uploads offline maps for all the countries you need and then decide whether to stay online or offline for directions.

...and a new phone...never forget you always have to buy a new iPhone because the new software makes the older iPhone slow.

There are others like SYGIC as well, but these apps can't be displayed in the CarPlay environment

The Apple/Google maps can load the map to destination into cache and so you don't need phone data. However the initial loading of map data in satellite mode still uses vastly more data than standard view

Why did they remake the movie IT?

The original still terrifies me! Dont need a scarier remake of it.

It's good to be somewhere warm. Now to head off and test how far I can hit the M1 driver.

Haven't felt like this for a long time.
