75 years ago the raid on Pearl Harbour began.

I took our then 5 year old son to the Pearl Harbour Memorial many years ago. Even though he went to LA Disneyland and all the Worlds in Orlando his most vivid memory was of this day.

That I have done. They said they would ring him for a chat, and also log it in case similar reports come in. If he hadnt come back for a second go, I would never got his rego so he was his own undoing.

Back to the car park madness...had a person from work (who I deal with) back into my car in the work car park. Her explanation was that her parking sensors did not beep, meaning she was not even looking in her mirror or at a camera at the time. Just blindly reversed until crunch! She did leave me a note (not knowing who's car it was) and it was with great amusement that I revealed it was my car. High on the list of 'people at work whose car you should not hit' is those that belong to the lawyers...

These two + the fun of pushbike riders is why we got front and rear dashcams. Both my wife and I have been hit 3 times each when parked and with a $600 excess each time if you don't have their details, we have had to pay $3000 (we got their details once despite them denying it. Thank god for witnesses). 4 of those times were at a shopping centre. These days I will always use the Valet parking at a shopping centre because @ $10 each, I can park 60 times and still cheaper than getting hit once.

"High on the list of 'people at work whose car you should not hit' is those that belong to the lawyers...".. high on the list of people you should avoid for anything, especially advice, is lawyers :) *j/k* *didn't mean it really* *please don't sue*

Is a power meter box on the side of a building allowable (Street front)? The meter is jutting (15-20cm) over the council footpath. The council says it is a electric company problem and electric company says it is compliant but shouldn't be overhanging onto the footpath and thus a council problem.

All I know is it should be located on the common property and should be compliant with council good design guidelines.

I saw similar last week when I was at Homebush DFO.

No idea why people were lining up like that to shop.

Who installed the box? It's their responsibility to ensure it complies with relevant planning requirements.

I've asked this question a couple of times before, but still on the hunt as I haven't found the right answer.

Can you think of any website which shares Rights Offers for ASX listed shares, what price and whether they were renounceable or non-renounceable?

I'll ask my broker as see if he knows a site (but he may only reply with his phone number :) ).

Broker says he doesn't know of any site that does this.

I ordered this via ebay yesterday and delivery, which was not via Aussie post, was made by 11am today.

Bought it via ebay so got VA points and it was was $25 cheaper than Luggage Direct :)

I like the Delsey luggage too. Very well made and I like the security offered by the double zip. I got a Chatelet Hard + for my wife (4WD with a brake that you can apply on the front wheels ).

However it does appear to have what I consider to be a design deficiency. The side opposite the carry handle that normally is in contact with the luggage belt when it is checked in, and when it is loaded on a baggage trolley and in a baggage cargo module doesn't have any slides. Consequently the plastic cover over the zip is getting rather scuffed, and I think it is only a matter of time before it gets torn.

I see that the Montouris and other cases are of a similar construction.

Has anyone bought the new Dyson hairdryer? Any comments on whether it is really good.
