I think it is something like 60% of people in India don't have access to toilets. Bill Gates recently made an announcement re getting Internet access to people in all areas of India. I think we should satisfy basic needs first. Guess there is no publicity in building toilets.

From memory, my father mentioned women doing number 1's in the streets of Vienna in the 1950's.

Bit of a side note, visitors from Vienna in Melbourne circa 1900 marvelled at the public toilets and the sewage system.

Heard something interesting after flying Rex last weekend. The driver of the bus taking us to the Rex arrivals at T4 said there is a strong rumour that Rex will be switching to Essendon.
I would hate that.

Spotted last night.

A posse of priests singing in Campo de' Fiori ... made a nice contrast to the dozen or so men dressed in fatigues holding machine guns down the other end of the square.

They were really good - knocking out some Beatles hits along with the usual Xmas numbers.

So what's the best boxing day deal you have seen on anything?

Time off in lieu of penalty rates for working. :)

Basically another eight hours leave. I'm working 30 hours on public holidays over the Xmas new Year period so that's nearly another weeks leave.

Rather surprised to have just arrived in Udaipur and the streets are lined with Christmas lights. Not what I was expecting, as apart from a big Christmas tree in the City Palace in Jaipur there's not been much fuss.

I'd like to echo those thoughts - a merry and safe Christmas to all AFF members - enjoy the festive season with your loved ones and friends - hug and kiss those loved ones every time they are in arms length - please try to keep everyone safe on the roads - we want to see everyone back in the New Year.
