I think UKIP's main platform is to take the UK out of the EU. And I did say that you weren't an elitist :), but I'll keep the thanks

Those who call UKIP a party for "right wing nutters" clearly haven't read its manifesto. It has a range of policies on questions including housing and planning that are substantial, serious, credible policies.

Comparisons to Hanson or PUP are also equally off the mark. Farage is far more eloquent and intelligent, and there is real substance to the party rather than the misguided whinging and ego behind the former.

My local shopping centre is in gridlock. Cars creating issues by jamming up major intersections trying to get into the car parks with lots of sudden brakes over intersections. The only thing I can think is that because it is Mothers Day tomorrow then everyone is shopping today. Ever try driving round lunchtime on Mother's Day? Awful.

Saw two blokes get out of their cars at an intersection and attempt to punch each other on Mother's Day....was fairly obvious neither had any idea what they were doing...

Wanting to undo participation in the EU sounds pretty damn crazy and xenophobic to me. Have they heard of globalisation. Best to ignore that and turn the clock back 30 years.

Who is Christie Downs & why does she have a train station named after her? Does Marino Rocks rock? I couldn't see the sea from Seacliff. LOL

Took the train down to Seaford & back before this afternoon's game. The train trip seemed rather slow, possibly partly due to frequent stops & many level crossings.

What's the strange looking out of shape pineapple building that you see on the left hand (city) side after leaving Adelaide station?

Yep just went past Highpoint and Moonee Ponds, and the traffic is crazy. You never see this type of chaos for Father's Day.

Played Hills Golf club at Jimboomba today. Played stroke off blue tees. At 6906m it's the longest course I've played.

Shot 98 after a 53 on front nine. Lost 7 balls. Did well to stay under 100.

Back to Pacific tomorrow to see if I can get the 107 out of my system that I shot there last year.

... with those numerous 'smoke stacks' across the top. What do you suppose they burn or vent at a medical research centre and which way is the prevailing wind? :)

Mostly fumehoods I'd say. Chemicals that will react and dilute pretty quick. The calculations for dispersion are relatively easy.

And vents for laminar-flow cabinets, I'd also say. All modern-day chem/medical lab roofs look like porcupines with their great clusters of vent stacks.

Sore losers.
Beside 2 governments in the EU decided on austerity-though not really as spending still increased-the UK and Germany.
The strongest 2 economies in the EU today-Germany and the UK.
Most popular leaders in the EU today-Angela Merkel and David Cameron.

As to those who believe fiscal stimulus is the answer the Japanese government has been doing that since 1990 and it still hasn't worked.
