I was a tad worried by the "DONE" box on your "LIFE" post.
Then I thought why do tomorrow what I can do today.

Today I read Richard Branson's criticism of Qantas.
People in glass houses immediately came into my mind.
I wouldn't mind Richard spending a few minutes on stopping VAH losses which have been running at $2 million a week while I have been a shareholder.

Related to Scott Alman no doubt - known Scott since the mid 80's.

It is a small World http://www.mackayfoundation.com.au/pdf/The Mackay Foundation - HPSF - Bren Alman.pdf

Bren was an absolute gentlemen and nearly 40 on - I've never forgotten him. He taught the whole family....Mum/Dad and 4 sons.

So we are the same age and have the same abilities, although I play ~8 times a year (in a good year).

I'm 45 for another 15 days...so I'm probably the younger one ;)

Really must make a trip to the Sunny Coast to see clients and drop in

Welcome anytime.

Yeah. It's all about choices. It's great to have them. :)
Choices are useless if you do not know how to use them.

I hope that does not sound negative but it is not that simple. Once you make a choice and go with that choice it is then difficult to back out and make another choice.

We should make plans to have an AFF golf day here One hole down, 17 to go for new Horton Park Golf Club | Sunshine Coast Daily

$45M and Graham Marsh should be a good combination to create a decent enough golf course.

This link has plenty of photos of the course starting to appear out of a cane field http://www.hortonparkgolfclub.com/layouts/mp_standard/Template.aspx?page=home

But that surely is preferable to having no choice. It's pretty much useless looking back and regretting the choice we make; we can only learn from poor/wise choices and look forwards. Pollyanna I know but any other way will leave us with too many regrets.

SYD-JNB. "Old" 3-class (no F seats).

Options:
- Stay with 16B (16 not available i assume someone in it)?
- move to 11A (both 11A and 11B showing available) and hope 11B stays empty?

Maybe a little bit on topic here but I've been looking at my flight stats from the AFF Flight Tracker.

In 2013, I'll be landing on 25 segments with a total of 48266 km including the flight back from Canberra for the train trip weekend after next. This was with a lot of domestic US sectors on Amtrak. I was away Jan/Feb in America & Mexico. Australian domestic trips in May (ADL via MEL status run), July (OOL), August (MEL & DRW), September (BNE) & December (CBR).

With what I've got planned so far in Jan/Feb 2014 with domestic US travel totally by plane, I'll be on
19 segments & 47194 km by the end of February. I'll easily smash 2013's figure!

I know compared I don't fly a lot compared to some people here (I'm totally self-funded, no work trips) but that's a massive couple of years for me.

Agreed that choice is good.

Learning from mistakes is good assuming that you acknowledge the mistake.

Sometimes I do it again just to make sure it was a mistake...
Of course there are some mistakes that are so good you just can't help doing them over and over again!

Poor Goose...

I know some movie people would joke that this needs a spoiler alert.

I put up a photo yesterday on FB of me in SFO & this led to someone putting a photo up of a scene from Hogan's Heroes. I thought it was from The Great Escape never having watched Hogan's Heroes.

So good they hurt?

Sucker for punishment comes to mind.

Humility is a characteristic that more people should have. Would make "choice changing" easier.

Where I come from they call that alcoholism ;)

Depending on the mistake, further practice might lead to success!
